AED Training
AED Training 4 hour course

1 Instructor to 6 students
We are affiliated to The Irish Heart Foundation. We carry out their Courses - see www.irishheart.ie. The successful participant will receive an AED card which is valid for 2 years.
AED Initial training 4 hour course
This is a 4 hour course designed to show participants how to perform CPR and use an AED machine

Course content:
  • The 4 links in the chain of survival
  • Activating the Emergency Services
  • Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Cardiac arrest
  • Foreign body airway obstruction



 
                   AED training


AED re-validation

This session is carried out every 6 months to keep up the skills of the participants that have completed the initial 4 hour AED course. Two participants will practice CPR and AED together. Each session takes up to 45 minutes

AED Re certification every 2 years
Every 2 years the initial course is repeated

 

BLS Healthcare Provider

The healthcare provider course is for medical, Para -medical and allied healthcare professionals. The skills taught include adult and pediatric CPR including two rescue scenarios, use of bag valve mask and barrier devices, management of foreign body airway Obstruction (FBAO), and use of AED’s.

The course takes approximately 6 hours to complete and course participants are evaluated by skills testing and a written evaluation, multiple choice questions (MCQ). Course completion cards are given upon successful completion of the course.
